Lyle L. Jackson, 75, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home.
A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Schrivers Memorial Chapel with Kelly Brennan officiating.
Interment will be at Highmore City Cemetery at a later date.
A time for fellowship and luncheon will be held at Schrivers Fellowship Hall following the service.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Lyle L. Jackson was born on August 25, 1949, in Redfield, South Dakota. Lyle was the son of Vernie and Mabel (Busch) Jackson. He grew up in South Dakota and graduated from Faulkton High School before attending Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating in 1970.
At a young age, a motorcycle accident kept him from enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a radio announcer in Oakes, ND, and Carrington, ND. He moved to Aberdeen in 1976, and Lyle was employed at Northern Electric from 1979 until 2009.
Lyle was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. He was also known for his deep love of animals, particularly his two spoiled cats, Buford and Chick-a-boom. Lyle had a unique passion for wildlife, and he was hopeful that he prevented the extinction of the snow leopard.
Outside of work, Lyle enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was a dedicated crafter, often attending crafting shows and creating beautiful works with his hands. He also had a sharp wit and a love for game shows, especially Jeopardy, where he was known to answer questions with impressive speedoften before the contestants could!
Grateful for having shared Lyles life are his wife of 24 years, Kathy; children: Laura (Jay) Rasmussen of Aberdeen, SD, Katie (Bill) Stewart, of Arizona, Daniel (Jessica) Jackson of Oakes, ND; siblings: Richard (Gwen) Jackson of Redfield, SD, Maurene (David) Kelnhofer of Crystal, MN, Karen Pflanz, of Indiana; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
