Chamber Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies Mark Openings

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were recently held for 5 new businesses in Redfield. Businesses were also presented with their First Dollar of Profit certificates, and Chamber member stickers for their shop windows. Chamber Director Kim Leonhardt was on hand with the special scissors. The businesses were The Nest, Simply Charming, Hair and Co., KQKD Radio, and MoDak Lodge.
All of the business owners said that things had been going very well. They expressed excitement at being officially open. Nadine and Larry Cleberg of The Nest, an overnight stay home, were first. Nadine Cleberg said Word of mouth has been awesome. She stated that theyd had many bookings. The Nest is located near the City Pool.
Cinnamyn Pudwill is the new owner of Simply Charming. She was able to purchase the business from the previous owner, for whom she used to work. Simply Charming is located in downtown Redfield.
Another new downtown shop is Hair and Co. Owner/operator Courtney Turck, who grew up in Redfield, was excited about the new business venture. Shes also known under Hair by Courtney.
KQKD radio has been downtown for years, but its been under new ownership for only months. Peter John was enthusiastic, and talked about eventually expanding the station. He was considering adding in another show. The team consists of John, Ted Price, and Simone Lassere.
The last stop was on the East side of town, at MoDak Lodge, owned by Kelsey and Ben Edwards. Bens from Missouri (MO) and Kelseys from South Dakota (DAK). They had wanted to live in the property, but it wasnt quite ready.
