Parry Lloyd Sterner, 61, of Pierre, SD, passed away on March 18, 2024, of natural causes after a long battle with kidney and heart disease. He was born on August 6, 1962, in Redfield, SD, to Marge and John Sterner. He graduated from Gettysburg High School and attended classes at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. He lived in the Redfield area, and worked in sales much of his life where his friendly and outgoing personality allowed him to make many lasting friendships. He really enjoyed bowling, pool, and dart leagues. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and telling great stories with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, Mardene (Jim) Robideau of Aitkin, MN, and Milton (Jimae) Ragels of Huron, SD; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and best friends who will greatly miss him.
Parry's family will host a celebration of life from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Starters Lanes and Sports Lounge in Redfield. Hyke Funeral Home (www.hykefuneralhome.com) in Redfield is assisting Parry’s family.
