Freshman Chesnie Heim, who was crowned Jr. Miss Northwestern on Nov, 11, beating six other Northwestern freshmen, was crowned the South Dakota Jr. Miss Snow Queen on Jan. 6 in Aberdeen.
“It felt completely unreal! When I heard my name, I was not excepting it at all, and I was completely shocked, it was crazy,” Heim said.
When asked about how she felt about the experience there with the other girls, Heim had nothing but nice things to say. “It was great. It was such a positive environment, and everyone was so happy and so great, and it just made the weekend so much easier for me. We did a lot of fun stuff together, and Skate Away was definitely my favorite part”.
