BCAN plans ‘I’m Tired of Winter’ dinner
HURON — Are you tired of winter? Beadle County Area Nutrition is planning an “I’m Tired of Winter” noon meal on Thursday at the Huron Area Senior Center.
Serving will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The menu will be barbecued chicken breast, potato salad, glazed carrots, fresh baked dinner roll and banana split.
Everyone is welcome to attend — and encouraged to wear brightly colored spring clothing.
Meal reservations are appreciated by noon Wednesday. Please call 352-6091 or 352-8291 to make reservations. 
This meal is part of the senior nutrition program.  Those who are age 60 and older, and their spouses, are asked to make a donation to help with the cost of the meal. People who are under 60 need to pay the full cost of the meal.

Holy Trinity plans Fashion Show & Brunch
HURON — Get your ticket for the fifth annual Fashion Show & Brunch (including a purse auction) to be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic School, multipurpose room, 425 21st St. S.W.
Volunteers, school parents, students and staff all serve as models to showcase the beautiful fashions. The clothing modeled this year will be from Boss Boutique, St. Francis Shop, Indulge, Sweet Trio Boutique and Double D Western.
The brunch will be immediately followed by the models showing off the latest and trendy fashions!  
During the event, there will be a silent auction featuring a variety of beautiful new purses with surprise contents, all donated by parents at Holy Trinity Catholic School.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the church or school, and will also be available at the door.

Huron Area Yarners to meet Thursday
HURON — The Huron Area Yarners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Java Hut Quilts and More.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Senior Center plans final soup sale Tuesday
HURON — The Huron Area Senior Center will be holding its final soup sale on Tuesday.
Choices will be chili or vegetable beef barley soup.  Sales are from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After that time the soups will be frozen and can be purchased in the senior center lobby
Frozen soup will be available until sold out.

Fish fry planned Friday at K of C
HURON — The Huron Knights of Columbus hosts a fish fry each Friday during lent except Good Friday. Serving from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Grilled cheese sandwich is also being offered. For take out call 352-4013.

Hospice volunteer meeting planned Tuesday
HURON — Volunteers interested in sharing your time and talents with hospice patients and their families are invited to a volunteer meeting Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the HRMC Legacy Plaza Auditorium.
Those attending will learn more about the rewarding volunteer opportunities available through hospice. Light refreshments will be served.
HRMC Community Hospice volunteers play an important role in bringing hospice’s unique services to patients and their families. Volunteers can choose to assist in the following areas with patient and family care, special events and fundraising and office support. Massage therapy topic at Parkinson’s meeting
HURON — Parkinson’s patients and caregivers are invited to the support group meeting Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the HRMC Legacy Plaza Auditorium.
Joanna Reimer Bott, a massage therapist with Therapeutic Body Works, will present information on the benefits of massage therapy for Parkinson’s patients. The public is invited and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Amy Duxbury at 605- 353-6710.
This support group is designed to share information with and provide support to area Parkinson’s patients and family members.
