On Saturday, January 26th, 2019 the Redfield Sons of the Legion Squadron 92 held their annual Fishing Derby at Redfield Lake. All proceeds went to American Legion Baseball.
The future of ice fishing looks bright, according to this year's winners prize winners!
Young Braxton Wager was the winner of the clam fish shack, donated by John Solheim and Cruz Kimlicka was the winner of the clam backpack and fishing gear.
The first place team in the contest was Cory Jessen and Tina Heollein with a 18.75 pound fish. Jim Haider and Dave Willis took second with a 16.1 pounder. John Solheim and Tom Ehresmann took third with a 16 pounder.
Largest Northern went to Travis Fast at .31 pounds and largest Panfish went to Doug Macumber at
.42 pounds. There were 38 teams in all.
