Two family businesses have had their official ribbon-cutting ceremonies with the Chamber of Commerce. Pochop and Company, and Pochop Firearms have a new space in Main St. Plaza in Redfield. Damen and Tracy Pochop said that business is good, and growing.
Tracy Pochop has been an Alisons Pantry rep for 8 years. Damen Pochop is a licensed firearms dealer, and has been selling since 2020. The Pochops said that the businesses are something that they do as a family. Their sons Easton and Maverick are also involved.
Items found at the retail space include: freeze-dried candy, baking supplies, jelly, spices, laser engraved ornaments and mugs, frozen cookies, and jerky. Easter goodie bags of candy are available. Theres also beaded jewelry made by Eastern Star Home residents.
The Pochops purchased a laser engraver. Promotional items were needed for Pochop Firearms, and they started playing around with the engraver. Tracy Pochop said We can make anything, and encouraged people to ask about custom laser engraving.
No firearms will be sold at the location. Those transactions must be made at the Pochop residence. Damen Pochop said that they sell suppressors, and that requires digital fingerprinting. The fingerprinting, as well as background checks and paperwork e-filing can be done in the shop.
Tracy Pochop explained that they dont keep a lot of firearms inventory on hand. It keeps prices down. she said. They custom-order items such as rifles and shotguns. Pochop Firearms because they wanted to make things affordable for families. The Pochops said that they enjoy hunting and like firearms.
Alisons Pantry items are available for pick up at the retail location. Eventually, theyd like to have popular items on-hand for customers to purchase in-store. Tracy Pochop said its restaurant-quality food. Shoppers can peruse a catalog, and an order is put in once a month. About a week later, items come via semi.
The Pochops stay busy with youth activities. Tracy is a business manager at Eastern Star Home. Damen works at Mahler Farms. The Pochops also do some farming, and have cattle.
The next Alisons pantry order is due by Sun., April 13th. It will arrive on Thur., April 24th. The Pochops encourage interested shoppers to reach out to them.
