Steven Arthur Dvorak

Steven Arthur Dvorak passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
Born on May 14, 1952, to Arthur and Darlene (Barness) Dvorak in Redfield, South Dakota, Steven was raised on the family farm. In high school, he met the love of his life, Christine Moon. The two were married on May 5, 1972, and were blessed with two sons, Brent and John, who brought immense joy and pride into their lives. The family created countless memories while living in Redfield before moving to Spearfish, South Dakota, in 1992.
He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends, his cousin David Dvorak, Clark Lunstrum, Doug Hamilton, Pat Hamilton, Ron Eimers. He loved hunting, camping, motorsports, especially snowmobiling in the Black Hills; and traveling to car shows with his restored 1972 Pontiac LeMans. Stevens love for family and his generosity touched many lives.
Steven is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Dvorak (Moon); his sons Brent (Molly) Dvorak and John (Darcy) Dvorak; his mother, Darlene Dvorak; his sister, Carol Brand; and his cousin David (Beatrice) Dvorak. Steven is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Dvorak, and his grandson, Spencer Steven Dvorak.
A memorial of Stevens life will be held on Thursday, February 6th at the VFW Post 5860, 3102 E. Fairgrounds Loop, Spearfish, SD 57783 from 11:00 am 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, sympathy wishes or cards may be addressed to the Dvorak family at 816 Hudson Circle, Spearfish, SD 57783.
