On October 21, the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony was held in the auditorium at 7 PM. There were 9 new NHS inductees. They include Karlie Brabant, Brynnley Neuharth, Makayla Schulz, Ella Rude-Petersen, Connor Zens, Jade Englund, Kinley Smith and Cecilia Suchor.
Second year members who directed the ceremony included Jadie Turner, NHS president; Adalyn Stoner, NHS vice president; Brooklyn Rische, NHS secretary and Addisyn Evans, NHS member. Jaci Hofeman was not present. Mrs. Mara Frederick advises the local chapter.
Mrs. Rita Masat spoke at the ceremony about the honor of being in the society and how successful these students have been during their high school years.
NHS is an organization that recognizes high schoolers who demonstrate good character, leadership, service, and scholarship. Students must have a 3.5 or higher GPA to be eligible for NHS.
National Honors Society is a good way to show your generosity to the community not only through activities we attend as a group but as an individual yourself. Although service hours are required for the organization the experiences that you gain from this are some that may not be open to other students, Jadie Turner said.
