DEADWOOD According to statistics recently released by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwoods May 2024 gaming handle was up 1.66 percent over May 2023.
Table games handle showed the highest increase with a 10.25 percent increase, sports wagering decreased 6.26 percent while the slot handle saw a modest increase in revenue at 1.22 percent.
Deadwood gaming operators rewarded their players $1,912,488.20 in “free play,” which left the taxable gross revenues for May 2024 at $12,801,068.
