Doland News

Can you believe it? The Fourth of July is already upon us. Where has the first half of the year gone?! This year has gone from Winter to Summer and just skipping by Spring. I do like Spring. This humidity is for the birds as far as I am concerned. But I guess it seems like it is here for awhile. Just think…Winter is coming!! I do like to ‘play’ in the yard and garden, it is just that sometimes that seems to get put on the back burner. Oh, well. There is always next year to keep ahead of the mowing and weeds.

The Fourth of July is Thursday (tomorrow). Many people will be with family and friends. Please be safe in your travels. Be especially safe if you are planning on setting off some fireworks. Most of all, enjoy the family and friends that you are getting together with.

The ‘cone zone’ is still active in Doland. As far as I know, the water project is coming right along. Some of the streets are a mess with dirt (or mud, as the case may be). I always think we have to have a mess before we can have things nice. If we are patient, it will be worth it in the end.

Do not forget! The tornado siren will be going off in Doland on Wednesdays. THIS IS ONLY A TEST.
