Two teams of major leaguers from Redfield traveled to an out-of-town game today to square off for bragging rights for the title of 281 champs!
The Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots are known far and wide for their ability to bat-around the order and their tenacious fielding.
The Redfield Pheasants aim to topple their opponents with a fierce defense and the hottest batting in the county!
In game one the Pheasants took a commanding lead, but struggled when the hot bats of the Patriots took off. The score seesawed back and forth with great offense and defense on both teams.
In game two the Patriots came out determined to leave the Pheasants in the dust, but superior fielding on the part of the ring necks leveled the playing field. Game two went on as the Sun slowly set in the western sky becoming a nail biter. When the dust settled and the final score was posted, never before in the history of major league play have we seen BOTH games resulting in a tie. Both teams look to the future and a rematch to see who will be the new 281 champs!
