State FFA Convention

On April 14, the Hitchcock-Tulare FFA Chapter traveled to Brookings South Dakota for the annual State FFA Convention, where they competed in many CDE (career development events) against other chapters across South Dakota. The Meats team placed 2nd overall with students including Tristin Fliehe 3rd, Elijah Hofer 7th, Keagan Mallon 10th, and Cooper Gordon 17th.The Vet Science team placed  4th overall with students including Heather Barrie 9th, Molly Koester 13th, LaMour Binger 20th, and Shaylyn Steinheuser 36th. The Farm Business Management team place 5th overall with stuents including John Schultz 11th, Nic Hoelzel 18th, Dan Marshall 23r, and Seth Tollefson 29th. The Floriculture team placed 6th overall with students including Nicole Hamilton 4th, Paige Binger 43rd, Cassie Binger 54th, and Lexi Binger 73rd. The Agronomy team placed 6th overall with students including Caleb McNeil 18th, Grayson Binger 30th, Chase Bixler 31st, and Jordan Michlitsch 32nd. The Nursery Landscape team placed 8th overall with students including Heather Barrie 30th, Kira Tschetter 24th, Shelby Stanfiel 35th, and Cassie Schultz 45th.The Ag Mechanics team placed 10th overall with students including Landon Bushong 28th, Clay Jens 31st, and  Alex Muilenburg 53rd. The Dairy Cattle team placed 11th overall with students including Saige Peterson 31st, Trenton Hofer 42nd, Cole Chaplin 45th, and Kaytlyn Boomsma 48th. The Livestock team placed 23rd overall with students including Kaylee Cole 14th, Trevor Hofer 98th, and Boston Knippling 138th.  Seniors of the Hitchcock-Tulare FFA Chapter also received their State Degree Awards which included John Schultz, Molly Koester, Kira Tschetter, Nic Hoelzel, Dan Marshal, Landon Bushong, Seth Tollefson, and Alex Muilenburg.
