The Hitchcock-Tulare School Foundation held a Basketball Fun Night on Thursday, March 21st in the Tulare gym. The evening started off with a 7th & 8th Grade hot shot contest and a Kindergarten-2nd Grade dribbling skills competition. This was followed by a performance of the high school drum line, under the direction of Curt Eisenbeisz. Mr. Eisenbeisz is retiring at the end of the school year and was thanked for his service to the district. At 7pm the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots squared off against a team made up of their own moms. The game went into overtime, but the Lady Patriots claimed victory. The 3rd/4th Grade and 5th/6th Grade basketball teams took the court next to show off their skills. The evening concluded with the Patriot boys basketball team taking on their fathers. The competition was fierce, but the Patriots were able to defeat their dads. A free will donation was taken at the door and Godfather's Pizza was served throughout the evening. A 50/50 drawing was also held. Over $3500 was raised and the Foundation plans to use the proceeds to help the school with technology upgrades.
