Al and Sue Hellman

Memorial services for Al and Sue Hellman, of Oacoma, were Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at the Cedar Shore Convention Center in Oacoma.

Albert (Al) and Mary Susan (Sue) Hellman went home to their Heavenly Father on June 9th, 2012. While their death was unexpected, their first love was Jesus and they were ready to leave this world whenever God saw fit to call them home.

Al was born in Terry, MT on March 6th, 1948 to Larry and Leona Hellman. Sue was born in Longview, WA on August 13th, 1950 to James and Harriet Rogers. They met in Miles City, MT, fell in love and were married on November 28th, 1970.

Al and Sue lived in MT, CO and SD and eventually made their home in Redfield, SD, where they raised their four children. For the past 15 years, they have made their home in Chamberlain, SD.

In 2001, Sue gave her life to the Lord and began a personal relationship with Jesus. A few years later, Al also professed his faith in Jesus and was baptized. Each day they longed to serve the Lord and do His will.

Forever grateful for having shared their life are: their children Danelle Schlaht of Aberdeen SD, Missy (Pat) Quittem of Sioux Falls SD, Tracy Hellman of Sioux Falls SD, and Jim (Leana) Hellman of Chamberlain SD; their beloved grandchildren Angel and Caleb Quittem; step-grandchildren, Eric (Suzie) Schlaht of Phoenix AZ, Jamie (Laura) Schlaht of Sioux Falls, Cody Shoenrock of Sioux Falls SD, Holly (Timothy) Sax of Minneapolis MN; Al's siblings, Bob (Bev) Hellman of Glendive MT, Dale (Janie) Hellman of Terry MT, Norma (Gene) Grist of Terry MT; Sue's siblings Tom (Nance) Rogers of Spokane WA, Patrick (Vivan) Rogers of Egan MN, Terry (Lynette) Rogers of Highland Ranch CO, Beth (Jack) Devones of Cedar Rapids IA and Joanne (Casey) Krause; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Al and Sue are preceeded in death by their parents, Larry & Leona Hellman, James Rogers and Henry and Harriet Francoli; niece Vanessa Devones and nephew Michael Rogers.
