What is that saying? The best laid plans of mice and men? I think that’s it, although I really can’t tell you the origin of it. That seems to be the main theme of my life some days.
This week I was ahead of myself and looked forward to an easy Tuesday doing final layout and proofing. Hah, I know better but inside I want to believe it can be that way. Anyway, that plan went out the window on Monday afternoon after about the sixth thing that someone really needed in and had forgotten until then and continued right on until this point, 2:30pm on Tuesday. Now it would be different if we had a daily paper or if I had lots of room and could put everything in that I have. Still, something has to give so if I have talked to you about a story or been somewhere that you saw me and you don’t see it in this issue, don’t despair. Just hang in there with me, I have plans to get it in.
There were some wonderful things taking place in the area over the weekend. I hope whatever you did, you were able to partake in part of them. I really enjoyed my time at the Welcome Home at the National Guard on Saturday morning after some time spent in Ashton with the Ashton Angels. Such amazing people we have in the midst of us every day just going about their daily lives yet always making a difference. Take a look around!
