I wonder, did you take the time to vote in the Primary Election yesterday? I hope you did.
I have to admit for the longest time I really didnít pay attention to the elections or anything political for that matter. A great deal of it still irritates me beyond reason and gets my dander going but nowadays, I at least vote. That way I can tell myself that I at least tried to make my voice count whether my candidate wins or loses. I hope that if you didnít, you will take the time to make sure that you vote in the general election.
Another election coming soon, June 19th in fact, is the Redfield School Board election. This year there are two seats open for which three are running. These include: Incumbent Darvin Dickhaut, Incumbent Wilbur Nelson and Tom Lambert. We will have coverage of each of these candidates in the June 13th issue of the Redfield Press.
It sure seems to me that when the weather is nice I spend a lot of time running around. Thereís always something to do and I seldom just sit and think. The other day I put on what is surely a ridiculous hat that Iíve been told looks silly on me, and went outside to plant some flowers and do some thinking. What a wonderful afternoon spent at home in the yard. The hat, well, it was my motherís hat and I recall seeing her in it as a child while she was outside in the yard weeding her garden. What a pleasant thought and what a wonderful way to pass the day. I hope that whatever you do this summer you spend some time in thought.
