Edgar Tovar drove in the winning run in the first game with a two-run homer and pitched a no-hitter in the five-inning, second game as Redfield Dairy Queen moved to 20-5 for the season with a pair of wins over Mobridge, Saturday, July 27 in Redfield. Coach Kurt Permann said Edgar Tovar hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning of the first game to give Dairy Queen the lead. “Edgar’s performance was amazing at his age. He usually hit’s the ball on the nose.“ Redfield Dairy Queen came from behind to defeat Mobridge 9-5. Dairy Queen had tied the game at 5-5 with a pair of runs in the fourth. Redfield added two more in the bottom of the sixth. Isaac Lukes started for Redfield. Keith Gall and Justin Downes ;pitched in relief allowing no runs and three hits over the final four innings. Chris Studer had two doubles and a single to lead the 15-hit Redfield attack. Kelly Coates had three hits. Justin Downes, Edgar Tovar, Keith Gall and Brendon Hoellein each had two hits. In the second game, Dairy Queen scored eight runs in the first inning en route to an 11-0 win. Edgar Tovar, Brendon Hoellein and Chris Studer had three hits each.
