It's been a bumpy road so far this season for the Wildcats, but with a tough conference and non-conference schedule, this was to be expected. As put earlier this season, by head coach Eric Borge,"every game is going to be a challenge," and that has proved to be exactly right. With only 4 seniors, 7 juniors and 2 sophmore returning letterwinners the wildcats are a fairly young team. They are still looking to develop depth and experience in their younger players as the year goes on. The Wildcats have struggled both offensively and defensively but have also had times of success, such as Jake Heidenreich's 54 yard TD run in the 4th quarter. The wildcats had 27 rushes for 135 yards, in which Heidenreich had 111 of those yards. Quarterback Evan Finley was 2 for 16 passing for the day, with 1 interception. Silas Franco caught both of those passes for a total of 36 yards. Defensively, Nathan Frericks (8), Landon Fischbach (7) and Zach Duncan(7) were leading tacklers for the wildcats but it seemed Warners run game was to much as they rushed 34 times for 266 yards. The Wildcats will be looking to bounce back in their game against Potter County on the 28th!
