Luke Holt pitched a four-hit shutout as Redfield Dairy Queen defeated Aberdeen Circus 10-0 in seven innings in an amateur contest in Redfield.
Redfield Coach Kurt Permann said Holt went the distance to run his record to 2-0. “I thought Luke pitched a real nice game, walking only one, giving up only four hits and striking out five.“ Permann said Chris Studer had a big night at the plate. “Studer really hit the ball well, going 5-for-5. Chris scored three runs and batted in two.”
Dairy Queen scored four runs in the first and four in the sixth. Kelly Coates had three hits and two RBIs. Kerry Jacobson had a double and a single and two RBIs. Keith Gall had two hits and two RBIs. Dairy Queen is 4-0 in the Northern Plains League and 10-1 overall.
Northville will play at Dairy Queen on July 6 at 6:30 and 8:30. Mobridge comes to town on July 8 at 3:00 and 5:00.
