A five-run third inning helped lift Redfield Dairy Queen to a 7-5 win over Britton, Monday, June 18 in Redfield. Keith Gall pitched eight innings to earn the victory, running his record to 2-1. Brendan Hoellein pitched the ninth to earn his second save of the season. Redfield Coach Kurt Permann said both teams had 13 hits in the contest. “I thought Gall threw a decent game against a team that can hit the ball.” Gall had a double and two singles. Hoellein had two hits and an RBI and scored two runs. Kelly Coates had two hits and two RBIs. Brent Osborn scored two runs. Coach Permann said the win moves Dairy Queen to 9-1. “This was a big win for us because it pushes our league record to 2-0.” Dairy Queen plays at Mobridge on July 1 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Miller comes to Redfield on July 2 for a game at 8 p.m.
