Gaines-Bannister Outstanding Male Athlete at Redfield Relays

Redfield-Doland Wins Girls Title

The Redfield-Doland girls track team won the team title with 100 points at the Redfield Relays, Thursday, April 19 in Redfield. Groton finished second with 75 points and Ipswich third with 72 points.

Chloe Edgar of Redfield-Doland won the 3200-Meter Run in a time of 12:37.23. Josie Clemens of Northwestern finished third in a time of 12:57.16. Kaylee Hoellein of Northwestern finished fifth in a time of 13:25.54.

Shekota Myer of Northwestern won the Shot Put and the Discus. Myer won the Shot Put with a state-qualifying distance of 38-7. Danielle Waldner of Redfield-Doland finished second with a state-qualifying distance of 38-1. Danielle Levtzow of Redfield-Doland finished fourth at 33-0.

Myer won the Discus with a state-qualifying throw of 124-7. Shelby Peterson of Northwestern finished fourth at 99-5. Danielle Waldner finished seventh at 94-6.

Megan Sandmeier of Eureka-Bowdle won the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. Sandmeier won the Long Jump at 15-1. Joselyn Heer of Redfield-Doland finished second at 14-3. Mariah Taylor of Northwestern finished third at 14-2. Jeanna Duncan of Northwestern finished fourth at 14-0.

Sandmeier won the Triple Jump at 33-3. Maddie Mack of Redfield-Doland finished second at 31-9. Haley Tschetter of Redfield-Doland finished sixth at 30-3. Joslyn Heer finished eighth at 30-0.

Nicolette Schmidt of Redfield-Doland finished second in the 800-Meter Run in a time of 2:43.78. Macy Heinz of Ipswich won the event in a state-qualifying time of 2:25.19. Ashley Clemens of Northwestern finished seventh in a time of 2:54.45.

Schmidt finished second in the 1600-Meter Run in a time of 5:46.49. Tori Moore of Ipswich won the event in a time of 5:43.42. Darby Duncan of Northwestern finished eighth in a time of 6:18.07.

Ashley Binger of Hitchcock-Tulare finished sixth in the 300-Meter Intermediate Hurdles in a time of 54.44. Megan Stahl of Redfield-Doland finished sixth in the 100-Meter Dash in a time of 13.87. Catarina Oliveira of Northwestern finished seventh in a time of 14.16.

Erin Barrie of Hitchcock-Tulare finished seventh in the 400-Meter Dash in a time of 1:10.47.

Ashley Binger and Kristen Binger of Hitchcock-Tulare finished seventh and eighth in the High Jump at 4-3.

Redfield-Doland finished second in the 400-Meter Relay, the 800-Meter Relay and the 3200-Meter Relay. Redfield-Doland finished third in the 1600-Meter Relay and the Sprint Medley Relay.

In the team points, Northwestern finished fifth with 51 points. Hitchcock-Tulare finished with eight points. Macy Heinz of Ipswich was named the Outstanding Female Athlete. Macy won the 400-Meter Dash and the 800-Meter run.

Gaines-Bannister Outstanding Male Athlete

Maurcel Gaines-Bannister of Hitchcock-Tulare won the 100-Meter and 200-Meter Dashes and was selected the Outstanding Male Athlete at the Redfield Relays, Thursday, April 19 in Redfield. Maurcel won the 100-meter Dash in a state-qualifying time of 11.19. Gaines-Bannister won the 200-Meter Dash in a state-qualifying time of 22.84.

Ben Gillette of Redfield-Doland won the 1600-Meter Run in a time of 4:41.42. Silas Franco of Northwestern finished third in a time of 5:02.09.

Gillette finished second in the 800-Meter Run in a time of 2:06.13. Isaiah Frohling of Britton-Hecla won the event in a time of 2:05.83.

Ephram Albrecht of Redfield-Doland won the Triple Jump at 40-5. Wyatt Becker of Redfield-Doland finished third at 39-0.

Albrecht finished third in the Long Jump at 18-10. Jamie Jorgensen of Groton won the event at 18-11.

Nathan Palmer of Northwestern won the Discus at 132-11. Nathan finished fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 40-11.

John Noyes of Redfield-Doland finished second in the 3200-Meter Run in a time of 10:57.25.

Dion Becker of Redfield-Doland finished third in the 110-Meter Hurdles in a time of 16.97. Alex Bales of Redfield-Doland finished fourth in a time of 17.51. Tyler Hansen of Redfield-Doland finished eighth in a time of 18.72.

Dion Becker finished fifth in the 300-Meter Hurdles in a time of 45.11. Tyler Hansen finished sixth in a time of 45.59.

Trent Hofer of Hitchcock-Tulare finished fourth in the 400-Meter Dash in a time of 58.77. Seth Tollefson of Hitchcock-Tulare finished fifth in a time of 59.07.

Alex Bales finished sixth in the High Jump at 5-5. Nate Palmer finished eighth at 5-1.

Redfield-Doland won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay in a time of 1:00.67. Redfield-Doland finished third in the Sprint Medley Relay and the 1600-Meter Relay. Redfield-Doland finished fifth in the 400-Meter Relay.

Aberdeen Roncalli won the team title with 123 points. Groton finished second with 114 points. Redfield-Doland finished third with 87 points. Hitchcock-Tulare finished with 29 points and Northwestern 22.
