Northwestern loses to Warner

The Northwestern Wildcats (3-6) lost to the Warner Monarchs (6-2) 42-72 in a Lake Region Conference boys’ basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 in Mellette.
After the first quarter, the score was 11-19 with Warner leading. At half-time, the score was 21-37. After the third quarter, the score was 30-52.
For the Wildcats, Michael Smith led scoring with 19 points. Grasen Lechner added 10 points and Josh Clemens had six points.
For the Monarchs, Will Rozell led scoring with 17 points. Tyler Bierman and Jarrod Tuszka both added 15 points.
Northwestern had 40 rebounds and Warner had 14 rebounds. Northwestern had 17 turnovers and Warner had 17 turnovers. Warner beat Northwestern in the B game 33-14.
