Elizabeth Rozell was awarded the Donald O. Bunkers Scholarship in ROTC in Support of the Jackrabbit Guarantee for the 2012-2013 academic year at SDSU in Brookings. She is the daughter of Todd and Donna Rozell.

William Rozell was awarded the Doug and Ann Hajek Economics Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year at SDSU in Brookings. He is the son of Wade and Kim Rozell and is majoring in economics at SDSU.

Beulah Erickson Ristau, 89, died May 20 in Aberdeen. She was the wife of Alvin Ristau. Beulah was born to Holder and Clara Erickson at home, 5 miles south of Bath. She married Alvin Ristau on January 24, 1954. They made their home on their farm near Mansfield until 1967 when they moved to Aberdeen. She worked for the American news from 1967-1985. She is survived by her husband, children Josephine Ristau, Eric Ristau, and Jonathon Ristau; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Iola Locken of Bath; a brother Clarence Erickson of Groton, and a brother Oliver Erickson of Aberdeen.

Robert Palmer of Sioux Falls and Dick Palmer of Miller visited Bonnie Palmer on Saturday.

On May 24th Birthday Club members met with Alice Bierman at her home honoring Joanne Ablin. Alline, Heidenreich, Carole Mayer and Connie Wilkins were guests. Prize winners were Carole and Shirley Holt. The June meeting will be with Joanne at her home.
