Texting driver collides with vehicle

On Saturday, June 15 at approximately 4:08 p.m. a driver that was texting collided with another driver attempting to turn.

Thomas Fink admits to texting on his cell phone just before crashing into Donna Lambertís 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Lambert was waiting for oncoming to clear when a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer slammed into her at 70 MPH.

The accident took place on US Hwy. 212 and 398th Ave. and both vehicles were totaled.

Fink was flown to Sioux Falls for treatment and Lambert was treated and released from Redfield CMH. Charges are pending for Fink

In a press release Kevin Schurch noted that this accident is: Just another reminder of the danger of texting and driving.
