Oliver "Ollie" O'Daniel, infant son of Jason and Tifani O'Daniel, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. 

   Ollie’s memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, SD.  Pastor Doug Duncan will officiate.  After the service, Ollie will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Athol, SD.

   Oliver John O’Daniel made his appearance 16 weeks early.  He was born at 1:25 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, in Sioux Falls.   He only weighed 14.8 ounces and measured 10.25 inches, but he was a fighter.  He constantly wiggled around in his hospital isolate, waved his arms, and kicked his legs.  Ollie touched many lives in a very short amount of time and was loved by many. 

   Left to treasure Ollie are his parents Jason and Tifani, sisters Paige and Davyna, and brother Deklyn, all of Ashton; grandparents:  Jeff and Kay O’Daniel and Bret and Lisa Zens; great-grandparents:  John O’Daniel and Genevieve Zens; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

   His great-grandmother Katherine “Yvonne” O’Daniel and great-grandfather Hugh Zens have preceded Ollie in death.
